MEN FOR MENTAL

$12,900

Target: $50,000
Our Motivation

The stigma around men’s mental health has changed dramatically over the years. What was once a sensitive subject that men felt the need to bury and hide, is slowly becoming more common to discuss openly. Worldwide, 60 men commit suicide every hour. What if we could turn to one another and talk about what we bottle up? What if it was celebrated to ask for a little help from your friends? What if it was okay, not to be okay? My friends and I are teaming up to lift that stigma and open the door to talking more freely about the challenges of everyday life.

Together, we are teaming up with Movember and our partner, Gillette. Thanks to Movember's partners we have received a $10,000 kickstarter to our team goal to help make a difference in mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

Your donation could help save a father, a brother, a son, a friend, a partner, a man’s life.

Share your story on Instagram and social media, with the hashtag #menformental - help break the stigma by sharing your personal stories about why you think it’s important for men to be able to talk more freely about the challenges of everyday life.

Unfortunately, I also struggle with the topic in my family, the change of character from my husband has made me very good, my husband is unfortunately incurably ill.
And skeet has given me so much strength in the hard times

For my brother, father, and close friends. Thanks for talking about this topic and normalizing asking for help to break down the unrealistic expectations our society places on all of us. We are the only ones who can force change.
