- The Prep
This isn’t your run of the mill, ‘I’m late for work’ shave. Let’s slow down and take our time crafting this Mo. First, you’re going to need to wet a towel with hot water and then hold it against the contours of your face for a count of 30 Mississippi. Feels great doesn’t it? Now your hair is softened and ready for a proper shave.
- The Barbasol Lather
Remember Mr. Miyagi’s ‘Wax on, Wax off’ technique? Ok, well time to channel your inner Daniel-san. Apply your Barbasol Shaving Cream in a nice smooth circular motion to help lift your whiskers. Barbasol’s rich, thick lather also helps to raise hair follicles, allowing you to have a closer and longer lasting shave.
- The Man with the Steady Hand.
All those years of playing Operation as a kid are finally going to be put to use. Make sure you are working with a sharp, clean razor as dull or clogged blades can tug on the skin, leading to irritation or cuts. Ok, now that you’ve checked your razor, it’s time to mentally prepare for what is about to take place. Deep breaths buddy, you are about to groom a glorious Mo.
- The MoMent.
Ready? This is where the magic is going to happen. Start to shave using strokes that go with the grain of your hair growth. To determine which direction your hair grows, rub your hand across the hairs on your face. When you are going with the grain, the hair will move more smoothly, like butter on a warm roll. Shaving with the grain is going to decrease the likelihood of you cutting that beautiful mug of yours. Be extra careful around the Mo area.
- The Slow Reveal
As you towel off, avoid "rubbing" your face dry. Skin is most sensitive after shaving. Now lower your towel and slowly reveal your masterpiece. Your moustache is now a Mo. Enjoy!
