My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

My motivation is to do anything and everything I can to keep everyone happy and healthy, both physically and mentally. If there is something I can do to assist in preventing pain and poor health, I'm going to do it. That's what this is all about.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember, I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.

I'll be sending out my first fundraiser email tonight for a "super hero" themed month/campaign (as there is a matching opportunity for donations tomorrow, *hint hint, wink wink*). I will include what I think is the better AI-generated image in that message, but I thought I would share the "runner-up" image here... I went in a different direction as the other image actually used my face and doesn't make me look THIS old and worn... anyway, enjoy!

Not to make you feel old, but this year marks the 40th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. franchise (Mario Bros. and Donkey Kong featuring "Jump Man" are already past this milestone). And the protagonists of the franchise may have the most famous cookie dusters out there. Feel free to celebrate Movember with one of their iconic games (Super Mario World, originally for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, is my all-time favorite video game).

My daughter came home from school on Friday with a nose neighbor (along with some distinguished brows)… I’m taking that as a sign that this Movember will include a successful campaign…

Happy Halloween! How cool is this image by Reis O'Brien, creator of Tiny Ghost? Every year, he participates in "Inktoper," a challenge for artists to create something using a prompt... and October 1st's prompt was mustache! I'm hoping I can get the physical copy of this to display with my other TG stuff...

“Ask not what the #mustache can do for you — ask what you can do for the mustache.”

Are you enjoying the U.S. Presidential theme associated with the messaging I am using for #Movember this year?

I hope because here’s an update.

Another “who wore it better?” 26th President of the United States Theodore Roosevelt? Or 26-time Fantasy Football runner up Clinton Crockett? (Don’t worry, still no vote on this…)

Mid-Movember is here which means I’m halfway through my mission for men’s health. Raising donations for life-changing men’s health initiatives across mental health and suicide prevention along with prostate and testicular cancer.

For those that have donated to my fundraising effort, thank you so very, very much. Any and all donations, regardless of size, are greatly appreciated! I will send more personalized “thank-yous” in the future.

For those of you who haven’t donated but want to/plan to, why wait? Movember is running a contest for the most raised this week (I’m not kidding).

And for everyone, I hope you are taking care of yourselves and checkin’ in on those you care about. After all, that’s what Movember is really about: taking care of your health, physical and mental.

Cheers!

You know, donating blood is an excellent way to support those fighting cancer, including testicular and prostate cancers. I try to donate platelets every other week to help where I can… the time to catch up on shows and getting a cholesterol test are just icing on the cake! There are usually other perks too, so consider donating soon!

Every Movember, I share music related to suicide to demonstrate this isn’t a new issue and people have been dealing this pain for a long time.

This year is no different.

What is different is the song I'm sharing. In the last few years, I've been really into Frank Turner, a songwriter and musician from across the pond. Many of his songs are heartfelt and meaningful, including "A Wave Across A Bay." This song is a tribute to a friend and gives the perspective of someone affected by the sudden passing of a friend. I would recommend checking it out.

Today is Veteran’s Day in the U.S., and though I might not support the war, I will always be thankful for the warrior. I can’t support some decisions by the powers that be, but those defending our country will always have my respect. I hope all veterans enjoy the rewards for their sacrifice and take advantage of all resources to help with any effects of their service. We salute you!

Little Lemmy love to the front man OG Motörhead. Unfortunately, the man known for this mustache style passed away of prostate cancer (and other ailments). Make sure to get regular check ups, if for no other reason than to honor his memory. Rest in Peace rockstar.

Every other week, I try to donate platelets, and for the most part, I’ve been able to do that. It’s a great use of a few hours. I get to catch up on “my stories,” get some vitals checked (like my cholesterol and blood pressure), and help someone else. Win-win-win baby!

Dearest Carolyn,

I write to inform you that Movember has officially commenced for the 2023 calendar year. It is with deepest jubilation that I write to tell you I have begun this journey with a facial hair expression to match that of the Union's eighth President, the honorable Martin Van Buren. Your tolerance during this eventful time in history will not go unnoticed and is appreciated.

Forever Yours, Clint

Here it is: The Final "Mo." It actually is amazing how much it grows in 30 days now vs. the first time I did this 12 years ago. Anyway, thanks for stopping in and/or donating, and here's to improving mental health and getting closer to curing cancer!

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
