My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I'm growing my moustache in order to spread awareness of mental health and suicide prevention. I personally have struggled to figure out my own mental health for years now (Movember has been a really effective way for me to tackle this), but even though most days are a struggle, I have a good support network that helps me to keep on keeping on of family, friends, footy and Freddie (in my worst moments, blasting Queen definitely gets me back in the saddle -- this October, Freddie Freeman did his part, too!).

One thing I have never, ever been in my life is suicidal. Even when I have those moments where I wish time stopped, and all my commitments would disappear, I have never wished to end my own life. I am fortunate that I have enough support that I have never gone down that road.

However, so many people facing their own mental health struggles aren't as fortunate -- there is so much going on in the modern world, with so many people struggling in their own ways, that we need to create a culture that embraces the challenge of helping each and every one of us through their own personal struggles.

I grow my moustache as a platform to have this conversation, but the Movember Foundation does so much more than that with the funds raised during this month. I'd like to hit my target of $150 before the month is through. Thank you for the support!
