My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Throughout the month, every year, I get asked why I do this (even by Movember in this interview last year! and by my friend Rachel Hill on this podcast in 2020!). People are waiting for a big story but I don't have a good answer (thankfully). It started as a vanity project for sure, a mustache on a 20something year old just seemed fun but then throughout the years, while I have somehow continued to avoid being all that close to tragedy, others have confided in me with their stories. So many people, so many stories. Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer, Suicide, and mental health crises. It's strange to say as a man raising awareness for men's health but I've really begun to identify as more of an ally to the cause than anything else and that has been a pretty rewarding place to be. The past year however, has been one where each these issues has formed a tighter circle and started to close in on me a bit more closely unfortunately and I'm ready to keep the campaign going with some more skin in the game.
