After a few years away from my Movember Campaign, I’ve decided this year is a good time to return. 10 years ago I decided to begin to take a stand against cancer and joined the Movember “Move”ment. The Movember Foundation has set a lofty goal of reducing the number of men dying prematurely by 25% by the year 2030. They plan to do this by continuing to fund causes in 3 areas, Prostate Cancer, Testicular Cancer and Mental Health and Suicide Prevention. This Movember I have 3 goals to accomplish. Goal #1: I am pledging to walk 200 miles this month to remember the 60 men every hour that suicide takes globally. To achieve this I’ll walk in the morning, I’ll walk at night, I’ll walk with whomever wants to go for a walk……. Reggie better be ready. 200 miles for MOVEmber. Goal #2: I am pledging to lift 20 tons (40,000 pounds) of weight in the month of MOVEmber. In a typical month I lift 9,060 pounds, but I am going to push myself (with the help of my trainers supervision) to hit 5 tons!! Goal #3: I have set a goal of raising $1,000 for the Movember Foundation, my pledge to you is if we can hit that goal before November starts?!?! I’ll shave fresh and go with a mustache for a month.

I started supporting Movember 7 years ago because of their impact on cancer and how important it is to find a cure. We have all watched someone close to us fight the disease, we need to find a cure.
