I’ve lost close friends to suicide. I almost lost myself to suicide in my 30s. I’ve lost close friends to cancer and have friends and family living with cancer today. From Mustaches to Miles, this is my 16th year raising money for the MOVEMBER Foundation. The life-changing and life-saving work that they fund and support is near and dear to my heart. I have again been convinced to grow a mustache and join my friends and colleagues in the fundraising efforts known as Movember. The Movember Foundation helps fund cutting edge research, prevention initiatives and treatment resources around prostate and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. The mustache is the “ribbon of the face” and is used as a talking point to raise awareness, encourage testing and support. Cancer is an incredible challenge we need to face together. Mental health must be normalized in conversation. Suicide can be prevented by ensuring no one loses hope. The rising epidemic of unhealthy living can be curbed and prevented through education and resources. If you have 5 minutes, visit my page to learn a bit more. Any donation is greatly appreciated.
