My motivation

My father, who is a survivor of prostate cancer. Not only am I fortunate enough to still have him around, but I took away a very valuable lesson, to get a check up every year. Guys regularly don't go to the doctor until something is wrong, and I was the typical "I don't need to go, there's nothing wrong with me" type. Because of him, not only do I take regular physicals more serious, but I also know what my PSA level is when my blood is drawn.

Thank you for a much needed message. I am familiar with the issues of prostate cancer as my husband Dr. John Weber suffered from it.

The Best Foods to Eat for Prostate Health, According to Dietitians
A healthy prostate starts at your plate.

https://www.menshealth.com/nutrition/g45834633/foods-for-prostate-health

"YOU, OR SOMEONE you know, may be flaunting a mustache around this time of year in honor of Movember—the annual event devoted to raising awareness of men’s health issues such as prostate cancer. While it's fun to show your support by putting down the razor, it's important to also take this time to evaluate what you're doing for your own prostate health—including incorporating the right prostate-healthy foods."

With Movember kicking off today, I figured it would fitting to share a link to a webinar which was held on September 22nd titled Prostate Cancer Education Webinar - Screening-Early Detection-Prevention. The webinar was presented by the American Cancer Society and moderated by Tawana Thomas Johnson, Sr. Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for the American Cancer Society. The panel includes John Mathewson, a 17-year prostate cancer survivor, Dr. Randy Vince Jr., Dr. Delon Brennen, Dr. Kelvin Moses, and Dr. Arthur Burnett. The webinar begins at the 13:33 mark. https://youtu.be/SWHTiVBqItc

Brosemite Sam: The only way we end each year. A group photo and a huge thank you to all of our supporters.

Thank you for a great 2021 and even better ten years! - The Ice Cold Mos

171 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: That's what I love about you kid. Always about the work. If you know who was here, he'd love you for this. There's only one way to officially end this year.
Me: I'm afraid to ask, but how?

171 Week(s) Ago

Me: That's great and all Brosemite, but these toys can't donate themselves. we gotta hurry so we can get these out.

171 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: You really did it this time kid, not only did you hit your physical goal, but your monetary goals too! $1,160 and counting!?!? Do you know what that means? You're in the Platinum Club! it's time to celebrate!

171 Week(s) Ago

Officially putting a bow on this year's Movember campaign and what a way to cap off ten years. I decided to have a toy drive to donate some toys and games to some deserving children, but like clockwork, you know who shows up.
Me: OK Brosemite, what do you want, I thought Movember was done for 2021.

174 Week(s) Ago

Me: I gotta admit Brosemite, this was a great idea to get out. It did wonders for my mental to relax, and I'm not saying that because I beat you.
Brosemite Sam: Hey kid, I could care less if I lost, did you see that last shot go into the white target? And it didn't even bounce!!!

174 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: See!!! I told you!! Chip T Ball, I'm telling you, he's great!
Me: C'mon Brosemite, hurry up and break this tie.
Brosemite Sam: OK OK, but I'm going for the white target in the back.

174 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: Just wait until we get in here. Heated bays and good food.
Me: What about the golf?
Brosemite Sam: Yeah, that too, but the heated bays and good food...

174 Week(s) Ago

Me: Top Golf you say? OK, you're on. I like your idea of fun.

174 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: I'm glad you asked. We should go to Top Golf!!! And the cool part about it is that they're supporting Movember this month too. Look at this video with Chip T Ball.

174 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: I know you expect me to rip into you, but you've accomplished a lot this past week. You're about due for some fun.
Me: Some fun!?!? Do you even know what that means? What's your idea of fun Brosemite?

174 Week(s) Ago

Fresh off of catching him polish off a plate of Thanksgiving leftovers, my Movember coach, Brosemite Sam, is really engrossed in something on his phone.

175 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: And now you see why I call this building your body from the ground up! We worked on your legs, got to the midsection and finished with your arms, shoulders and back. Great work out kid! See you back here tomorrow!

175 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: C'Mon South Paw! Strike early and often!

175 Week(s) Ago

Brosemite Sam: Stay focused and keep your guards up! Deebo! You should have been bobbing and weaving!
