My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I care about my fellow men. This is my way of showing that I really do. Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young. This problem affects Military Service members disproportionately. Having served 30+ years in the US Navy, I have watched too many of our young men prematurely taken from us. Let's do something meaningful to support this cause. I'm all for raising awareness by doing pushups, but awareness is only a part of the solution. Knowing is half the battle, the real change will come from all of us working together to take concrete actions to help. Help means more mental health counselors, more practical assistance in clinics, counseling, advocacy and support, all of which cost money. Please, give. It's the best way for us to all make a difference.
