My motivation

In 2022 there were nearly 58 million Americans diagnosed with a mental illness. However, only 47% of those affected have sought out help. With suicide numbers increasing, it is clear that there is still tremendous work to be done. Men make up 80% of suicides in the US but still make up less than 40% of the population seeking help for mental illness. On November 18th I will be taking 53,000 first steps to support those 53% of people living with mental illness that are not seeking help. Please support the cause via the QR code or link to the right if you can. Join in if you want. Drive by and jeer if you must. But, most importantly, talk, share, love, and support. From all sides of this miserable disease. Please, reach out to someone if you are struggling. Reach out and check on someone you may think is going through something or even if you just want to say “Hi”. More people care more than you know.
