My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

Last year was by far the hardest year of my life. My mom was diagnosed with Glioblastoma and passed away 59 days later. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer three days before my mom’s diagnosis and luckily had a successful surgery and is now navigating recovery. Mentally, emotionally and physically this has been a challenge for our entire family and community, but especially for my brother who has had ups and downs with his mental health his entire life. Things will never be the same, but something my mom always taught me was to never stop believing in the power of community and connection, which is the root of what Movember is about. So in honor of my mom’s memory, in dedication to support my brother and out of passion to have treatment options for my dad, I’m continuing to fundraise for Movember to have better outcomes for all.

Thanksgiving Fantasy Tournament Proceeds

Although we came in under our goal because I got started a little late (see: procrastination) we still raised a $350 total pot, with half going to Movember. Although we missed the mark, the tournament was fun and I’ll continue to host similar ones in the future, and definitely next year.

A special thanks to all the tourney participants who agreed to join knowing half was being donated to charity.

Also worth noting that it was really kind of you and showed a lot of character for to draft the worst team in the tournament to make sure you didn’t double dip

I raise money for Movember because:
- my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer this year and I want better patient outcomes and treatments
- I want to change systems, behaviors and norms to improve the mental health of all men and boys which will improve so many other issues our society faces

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
