My motivation is multi-faceted. First, my introduction of Prostate cancer rudely arrived in the form of my dad’s diagnosis when I was 24, before he was even 50. His battle and journey as a survivor is both humbling and inspiring.
Secondly, the unfortunate part of the incredible genetics that have been passed to me is that they also carry an increased risk of prostate cancer; about 20%.
About 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer. It’s the second most popular cancer to skin cancer. Dudes know about sunscreen. They don’t know the preventable solutions to prostate cancer.
I am motivated to raise money within this hugely popular forum, but I’m also asking all the fellas out there to make sure they are getting checked at their doctor’s recommendations.
