Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I have been supporting Movember for a few years now...initially just in spirit of growing a Mo, but more recently actively raising funds. I believe in this important cause. My generation was often raised to think that it was not "manly" to talk about a man's health: physical, mental or emotional. My dad never really spoke about himself. I vaguely knew he fought prostate cancer.
I suspect he fought many other physical, emotional and mental challenges too.
Now fast forward and one my brothers was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year. He fought it and beat it, like my dad beat it before.
Now this year a friend and colleague shocked us all when he committed suicide. It completely caught me and everyone I know off guard. No one could believe he would do that leaving a family and friends behind when on the surface he was the envy of many. It highlights the fact that we all have our challenges and we all need help.
I am raising awareness for prostate cancer for my brother and for my friend, but for all men's health issues because it is Manly only if we can talk about it and help each other.
Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.
