My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

Please join me on this one month growing adventure to see how we can all help change the face of men's health. It's been a little while since I gave time to this cause but this year felt like the right time for me to step back in and help raise awareness for this great cause. Every contribution, shared post, and word of support helps to shine light on this important topic.

My goals this month are to help bring people together and share the positive message that Movember is changing the face of men's health. As always, all the support and motivation you give is helpful in achieving these goals! Please stay tuned for any and all updates about this year's fundraiser and I hope you can donate to help support the Movember Foundation.

The Movember Foundation is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.

What significant number in your life are you willing to donate in order to help change the face of men’s health? I’m starting off the donations this year with 30. Not historically a significant number for me. No relation to hockey or birthdays. But considering my wedding last year was on the 30th and I’m currently 30, I thought why not change it up a little and add a new one to the mix.

Afternoon stroll through the neighborhood with my girls. Winnie is going to help keep me motivated and active, I can tell you that much for sure! Might have to bump up the frequency of our walks.

Kara and I took Winnie on a nice little snifari through the trails in Dover. Beautiful day with lots of people and dogs to say hi too. It felt good to have all of us out there getting my first activity in for the month. Next up, hockey on Sunday night.

Movember Day 20:

It's been a couple weeks since my last post but let me tell you, this Mo is growing. Thank you to everyone who has already donated, it means the world. There is still time to help me reach my goal. Any help, whether $5 or $50 is huge!

Over the last couple week I celebrated my beautiful girlfriend's 26th birthday, we celebrated 4 years of dating, and I saw family in PA, CT, and NH.

The highlight of this week was seeing my brother, as he flew into town on a layover. I always love the time I get to spend one on one with him when he visits. We had some great BBQ and I showed him my apartment for the first time.

Movember Day 3:

A few days ago the nation took to the polls and did their duty in the name of democracy. My mo was in attendance and also contributed to helping make our country a better place. Now we may not know the results of the election yet but we do know that every dollar you donate to the Movember cause will help stop men from dying too young. These resources go to fighting testicular and prostate cancer along with preventing suicide and helping men’s mental health. I need your help to make a difference. Please donate what you can and let’s change the face of men’s health together!

Movember Day 2:

November has come around once again and I started from scratch this year. Boy does this feel weird! Follow along as the caterpillar grows and as we all support a great cause to help stop men from dying too young.

Well here’s a little update everyone:

Halfway through the month and the support has been awesome! I’ve had donations from family, friends, and coworkers which has helped me get halfway there. The even better part is that the team has already raised more than half of our $1,000 goal!

Now on a personal note, I have been up and down with my own fitness and health goal. The month started off strong but staying consistent is so damn hard. I’m looking to play some more hockey, go on a few more runs, and hopefully eat a little bit more balanced meals before this month is over.

Well we're now a few days into Movember and the support has begun to trickle in. I'm very appreciative of all the compliments on the stache from friends, family, and strangers. I've been focusing on living a healthier lifestyle over these first few days, and even though I haven't been perfect, I am starting to feel a difference. I have more energy, I'm less tired, and I feel more motivated. Now it's time for you to make a difference too! Please visit my page and donate what you can to get me closer to hitting my goal.

This is serious guys...today is the last day of Movember and I could use your help. If you missed #givingtuesday it’s alright. It’s not too late to donate to a good cause and help men from dying too young. Every dollar helps and I’m looking to you, my friends and family, to help me reach my goal. Check out my page, check out Movember’s website and see where your money will help. You will feel good knowing you’ve helped stop men from dying too young. As always, I appreciate all the help and encouragement. It’s been a great first year of raising money for this cause and I’m looking to finish strong with the help of you all!

Part of my goal for this month was to become more physically active. This morning was one of my regular morning skates with a few co-workers. Now this is nothing new for me, in terms of additional activity, but I have to say that nothing beats the feeling of getting off the ice after a good skate. The legs were pumping this morning and it's got me feeling good about lacing up the running shoes this month. Whether you are growing a Mo, rocking a Mo, moving to be a healthier you, or donating to the Movember Foundation, it all helps. Please consider donating today, no matter the amount!

Today I’m in the Washington D.C. area to help fit 300 kids for their own set of brand new hockey equipment. My company, Pure Hockey, along with the NHL and Washington Capitals are putting on this event to give kids their first experience with hockey. I’m rocking my Mo today, and everyday in November, to help raise support and awareness for the Movember Foundation. Help me reach my goal for the month! Your donation matters, so please visit the Movember site to see how your donation will help men dying too young.

Today is the first day of Movember for me and as you can see I've already gotten a head start on my Mo. I'm already being challenged with all the leftover candy and sweets at work but I'm holding strong, so far, with my healthy resolution.

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
