My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

To promote awareness to motivate men to get tested for prostate cancer, and to raise funds in direct support of pioneering research to eradicate it. In honor and loving memory of all the heroes who fought this horrific disease and growing epidemic, like my brother Jason and Dr. Bob Sloves, and survivors like my Dad. This is for them and so many others in this fight. You are all great Americans and a lasting inspiration.

My brother Jason was diagnosed with stage 4, metastatic bone cancer in April 2017. We did not catch the disease before it spread from his prostate, because he had not been tested early and adequately in the years prior to this discovery. He fought his disease in a heroic and incredibly courageous manner against one of the worst mutations of the disease that the oncologists at MD Anderson had ever seen. He passed away in December 2018, 20 months later, at the age of 48.

Men, get your PSA test and a digital exam from your Doctor every year. This is NOT an old man’s disease. It is the most avoidable cancer if caught early, when localized within the prostate. It is also one of the most deadly if not caught early, and if it spreads beyond the gland.

Movember is about catalyzing a conversation; one men don’t tend to have. So, I am growing a mustache to start conversations with other men with the hope that they get tested, and avoid the indescribable suffering that my brother had to endure.
