My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

As many of you know, I’m a prostate cancer survivor. 19 years clear and counting! Globally, more than 1.4M men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. Movember is working to halve the number of deaths from prostate cancer by 2030, and I want to help them get there. I’ve been the beneficiary of the good work and research these folks do, and I’d like them to be able to keep up the good work. I’ve also lost friends to this disease in the past couple years. This year, as I have for the past few years, I’d like to dedicate the page to my friend Mark Hargis. Mark lost his battle with prostate cancer a couple of years ago. Our paths were not that dissimilar. The randomness of the fact that he lost his battle and I have not does not escape me. It’s one of the reasons this fundraising is important. It’s the reason you need to get tested and remind the men in your life to get tested. The fight continues. Any amount will help. Literally. $5. $2. Any amount. I know there are lots of great charities out there, and we get asked to provide lots of financial support. So: I’ve adjusted my goal accordingly. For lots of folks, a donation just isn’t possible his year. No worries. Just spread the word. Remind the men in your life to get tested. Don’t put it off. It’s a blood test! And: it could end up saving your life....

Any cause that could have prevented Mark Hargis from leaving us WAY TOO soon is a good cause. I wish I could have seen Mark in the same type of dastardly mustache/goatee that you're currently sporting. That means he'd still be around. As always Q...appreciate you raising money for a great cause.
