My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

As many of you know, I participate in Movember each year because my Dad, Edward Martin Stuhl, died in 2014 after a grueling 12-year fight with prostate cancer. Prostate cancer has also touched my wife's family. My goal is to keep prostate cancer from afflicting the next generation. For real. I also see the opportunity to redefine uglier parts of manhood in the process. By taking our health seriously and asking for help when we need it, men can demonstrate true courage and move past the denial and suppression that comes with that old phrase, "be a man." Help me in this campaign or, better yet, join me!

Hi Andy! Thanks for bringing awareness to prostate cancer - again.

And thanks for your video message. My own dad is now working his way through prostate cancer - and he also struggles (and has always) with alcohol. So much resonates.

Hope you are strong and your kids are thriving! We are eking along as best we can ;) (Really, we are good.)

Snow day! Windshield wiper on driver side busted as I was trying to leave campus today in the midst of a snow storm. Not safe enough to drive on a highway with have my view obstructed...so I hoofed it home (not too far). Love the quiet on the roads that comes with a big snowfall!

Whitley makes a guest appearance today. She is one of the loves of my life. during breakfast this morning we sang Happy Birthday to her stuffed animals. 7 times. why not? when I shaved my beard to leave a mustache, she asked "where did the rest of your mustache go?" she is sweet, funny, smart, independent. she's my precious whitley

day 3! teaching day. also day in which I will pretend to be Alex Trebek for one of my classes. and then later give a presentation on campus. how many conversations will I have about men's health today? I hope many.

day 2 (but really day 13): heading to the orthopedic doctor in a few moments to read the results of the MRI and talk next "steps." of course I'm nervous but the stache is giving me some courage today. this injury has definitely helped me greater appreciate all of the health, support, and privilege I have and have had.

I'm getting a late start this year --- but I'm committed to finishing out Movember strong! On 10/29, just as I was planning to shave down to begin another month of growing facial hair, I tore my left ACL rescuing babies from danger...I mean, playing soccer. That injury required my attention for the last few weeks. Thanks to inspiring Mo Bros in my life (Shout out to Jon Stuhl, Richard Alexander, and Brad Bennett!) I found the motivation to get my face and rear in gear. Expect more photos like this one over the next few weeks!
