Go to the My Account section of your Mo Space to edit your fitness tracker settings.

You’ll be prompted to set a distance target, and then choose whether you’d like to track using kilometres or miles.

For your Move goal, we recommend going for gold (literally). Setting a target that shows family and friends you’re making a real effort will help to inspire donations.

Once you’re all set up, your Moves will automatically be sent from your device to your Movember account. You can choose to either automatically post them to your public fundraising page, or individually choose which activities you want to make public from your Mo Space. You can change these settings any time in the My Account section.

It’s good to keep in mind that if you choose to post your activities automatically, there’ll be a delay of up to 30 minutes between your exercise and the public post.

You can do a mix of any of the following Moves during Movember:
  • Walking
  • Running
  • Cycling
  • Swimming
  • Rowing
Move asks Mo Legends like yourself to focus on a distance goal, measured in kilometres or miles. Why? Well, it means you can mix up your Moves throughout the month and walk, run, cycle, swim or row – instead of just counting steps. Of course, you can still see how many steps you track each Move (or each day) on your Mo Space. It all counts!
If you’ve connected your RunKeeper app, you can choose to add a map to your fundraising page with each activity (as long as you track the activity with GPS).

When you first connect your device or app, you'll be asked if you want to automatically add a map to your RunKeeper activities. Enable this (you must also enable automatic posting) and the next supported activity you track using GPS will be automatically posted to your fundraising page with a map of your activity.

You can also change this setting any time from the My Account section of your Mo Space. This is visible if you hover over your name (once logged in) on the home screen of movember.com.
When you connect your fitness device, you’ll be able to select whether you’d like to track separate Moves, or a daily summary.

If you have selected ‘daily summary’, your daily step count and daily distance will update automatically.

Otherwise, you can enter this information manually on your Move Update tab by selecting ‘I walked’ from the Exercise Type list. Of course, we recommend the set-and-forget automatic method for maximum accuracy.

  1. Click on your name in the top right-hand corner of your Mo Space page

When Limited Public View is selected, your Mo Space can still be viewed if a potential donor searches for you in the Donate search bar. Obviously, we want you to get as many donations as possible!

It’s important to note, Public is the default setting when you sign up

Mo Space is your personalised fundraising page on Movember.com.

Your Mo Space page is essentially your fundraising hub. It’s the place to recruit others, request and view donations, promote your campaign effort via social media, post updates about your Mo journey, claim rewards and much more.

You can view the Mo Space pages of other participants and leave messages of support on their wall.

A great way to kick off your fundraising is to encourage your friends, family and colleagues to donate to you to shave it off on Movember 1st. Then regrow your moustache throughout the month. Maybe it’s time to try a new moustache style? Check out our Mo Style Guide.

Yes, you can merge two teams, to do this please contact Movember on (310) 450-3399 or info.us@movember.com.

We encourage all Mo Legends to grow as genuine a Mo as possible. Strictly speaking, a traditional Mo is one that:

  • Ideally doesn’t join upwards to meet your sideburns (that’s technically a beard). Preferably doesn’t join downwards across your chin (that would be a goatee).
  • If you’re a Mo Bro with a passion for another type of facial hair, we encourage you to jump on the Mo Train during Movember in the name of men’s health.
  • No Mo is created equal, so some level of variation is expected. A small complimentary growth under the bottom lip is definitely fair game.

Grab your copy of the Movember Rules.

In a quest to even the playing field, we recommend a shave-down on Movember 1st.

This allows you to start the month in the same position as your fellow Mo Bros, get competitive when the whiskers kick-in, and show your hairy progress to donors throughout the month.

If a baby face leaves you feeling uneasy, you’re welcome to shave in a Mo from existing stubble. We won’t judge.
Move is a chance for anyone, anywhere to go the distance and raise funds for Movember – without necessarily having to grow a Mo. Move asks participants to instead walk, run, cycle, swim or row during Movember. Or add it to their Mo growing journey.

Simply sign up, set a solo or team distance target, Move, raise funds and you’ll be making a difference.

Track your progress online, or connect a fitness device to log your moves in real time. It’s that easy.

There’s no need to Move to be the fittest, or go the furthest. Move welcomes people of all fitness levels and walks of life to get involved with Movember and stop men dying too young.
Shave the Date takes place on Movember 1st each year, and marks the beginning of Movember. It’s your chance to start the month with a blank canvas, before grooming your Mo for the 30 days that follow. Find going completely whisker-less a little terrifying? You can shave in a Mo to kick-start the month. Each Mo Bro to their own.

A Mo Event is simply a local gathering of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who know how to get creative and have a good time. Whether it’s a gold tournament, band night, or a dinner party – this Movember, get together to raise funds, make some noise, and stop men dying too young.

Got a good party in mind? After sign-up, register your event here and check out our Host page for tips and tricks to throwing a rocking Mo Event. Lastly, don’t forget to purchase promotional items through the Shop section of our website to deck out your event space in proper Mo attire!

You can purchase promotional materials (shirts, stickers, hats and more) from the Shop section on our website. It’s where you’ll find everything you need to promote Movember in true Mo fashion.
We love a good party as much as the next Mo Bro, but due to the volume of events happening during the month of Movember we can only promote official events hosted by Movember. But you can register your event and purchase promotional materials from the Shop section of our website.
When a business donates goods or services to your event it is considered an "in-kind" donation to your event. The business did not donate the goods or services directly to the Movember Foundation; therefore, we cannot issue them a tax receipt.
The 501(c)(3) letter is proof the Movember Foundation is recognized as a nonprofit organization by the federal government. Contact info.us@movember.com for more information.
Unfortunately, the Movember Foundation is not able to reimburse a fundraiser for event expenses.
Unfortunately, if you keep money raised from the event to cover expenses, not all the donations will receive a tax receipt. The Movember Foundation can only provide tax receipts for the actual dollars received. With all community events, you must provide a spreadsheet included with the event donation stating how much each donor contributed with the name, email address and amount donated. The total on the spreadsheet must equal the amount of the net proceeds check. For example, if your event raises $10,000 and you keep $2,000 to offset costs, you must provide a document including each donor name, email address, and amount donated totaling $8,000. Each donor on the spreadsheet will receive a tax receipt for the amount they donated.
Movember is a great way to spread camaraderie within your workplace. Encourage co-workers to get involved by starting a team for your company, and putting up promotional materials around the office. If you’d like more information check out our get involved section.
Movember actively engages with campus and fraternity organizations. To see how, check out our Movember on Campus page.
