Our Motivation

Around the world, men are dying too young – and largely for preventable reasons. ProstateCancer is a deadly cancer to men, second only to skin cancer. It is often a silent killer.

According to the American Cancer Society, One in Four Men will Die of Prostate Cancer. The number of deaths in the United States for 2025 is expected to be approximately 35,570 with over 300,000 new cases being diagnosed. The deaths are largely preventable with early detection.

A common misconception is that the screening procedure is invasive and can often cause men to delay preventive care. Modern medicine has made advancements and there are effective, non-invasive PSA tests available that can drastically improve outcomes through early detection. Despite these advancements, casualty’s have increased over the last 10 years by 3%.

That’s why, with McGriff’s support, I am hosting our 2nd Annual Charity Golf Event golf event to benefit Prostate Cancer Awareness.
