Our Motivation

Welcome to the Tahoe Movember Team: Tahoe Staches

Growing a mustache during Movember isn’t about style — it’s about substance. Each stache sparks conversations, raises awareness, and builds community around men’s health. And here in Tahoe, a stache carries the power of the mountains — rugged, resilient, and ready to spark change.

Here’s why this matters:

Mental Health & Suicide Prevention → 3 out of 4 suicides are men. We need to normalize checking in on our brothers, fathers, and friends.

Prostate Cancer → The most commonly diagnosed cancer in men, but highly treatable if caught early. Awareness = early action.

Testicular Cancer → The most common cancer in young men. It’s preventable and curable when detected early — awareness saves lives.

Then on Nov 30th, we’ll all come together at Alibi Truckee to celebrate our staches, share some laughs, and keep the conversation going.

Our Mission

Step one is building awareness in our Tahoe community—helping spark conversations that can save lives. Unlike many Movember groups, we’re not focused on hitting a fundraising goal. Instead, our energy goes into raising awareness, fostering connections, and creating space for men’s health to be taken seriously.

Simply joining the team, showing up, and sharing support builds camaraderie and makes a difference. Every person who gets involved helps push this important movement forward.

Together, let’s put Tahoe on the map for men’s health.
