Our Motivation

Cancer and PTSD are not just statistics—they're battles our brothers and sisters in the fire service face every day. This Movember, the Fire and EMS departments in San Bernardino County are stepping up to make a real difference in men's cancer and mental health.

In November 2022, we lost Fire Captain Karl Hegle to cancer, a reminder of how close these struggles hit to home. This year, we honor Karl's legacy and stand for the countless others who have fought and continue to fight job-related cancer. We grow our mustaches, we raise funds, and we stand united to support the health of those who serve and protect. Let's make a change together, for Karl and for all of us.
