Work in the hospitality industry? Get your hotel or restaurant involved.

Mo's in Hospitality
3 MIN READ
Now that you've signed up to be a Mo Bro or Mo Sista, it’s time to get your restaurant, bar, or hotel involved. No matter what branch of the hospitality industry you are in, we've got examples of how to get your team ready to Mo, from chefs to front desk agents.
Food Service Industry:

While your chefs, waiters and bartenders are sacrificing their upper lips for Movember, creating a special Movember menu or table tent can help get your diners involved. Here are a few tips to get you started:
  1. Decorate your space. Did you know you can download all of our posters, logos, images, and information cards in our Media Room? Here’s a thought – print your coasters and napkins for the month with Movember logos and men’s health facts.
  2. Explain why you’re participating. Make sure to explain Movember as the leading global men’s health charity and always invite people to join your team or donate through your Movember.com Mo Space page.
  3. Create a remarkable experience for Mo's by offering a special deal for registered Mo Bros and Mo Sistas. I.e. a few dollars off their meal when they show proof of their Mo Space page.
  4. Stay Healthy. Create a special Movember menu option. Remember, menu items should always reflect the men's health focus of Movember, with a healthy option. Designate on the menu with a Mo icon. Need inspiration? Try some of these recipes from our Movember Rated Chefs.
Mixology Moustachery
  • The Manmosa - Muddled Apple, Bourbon, Apple Juice, and Soda Water
  • The William Howard Taft Bronx - Orange Juice, Gin, Sweet and Dry Vermouth, and Orange Bitters.
Cook Like a Man
  • The Dapper Duck - Warm Smoked Duck Breast, served with a Walnut, Pear and Goat Cheese Salad
  • The Manwich - Lean Ground Turkey, Feta, and Oregano Patty with Butter Lettuce, Balsamic Glaze, and Roasted Red Pepper Chutney on a Brioche Bun

Hotel Industry:

Encourage your entire staff to sign up for this hairy journey together. They'll be interacting with guests first and can speak about your Movember team effort in person with their hairy upper lips. Remember, a Mo Sista helps keep her Mo Bro's going throughout the month, so every member of your staff can be involved. This year your staff can also commit to MOVE and sign up on Movember.com to be more physically active for the month. Regular exercise helps promote both physical and mental wellbeing.

Similar to the food service tips, here are a few best practices to keep in mind.
  1. Be informed. Make sure your staff is informed about the hotel wide Movember effort and explains to guests why your hotel is supporting the global men’s health charity.
  2. Decorate your space. All of our posters, logos, images, and information cards are in our Media Room. You can print out the Movember posters in postcard sizing and handout to guests as they check-in or leave with the bellhop to help explain to guests why they are seeing moustaches everywhere!
  3. Register your event. If you're hosting an event at your hotel, you can register your event and receive an event kit with posters and other items to decorate the space.
  4. Create remarkable experiences for Mo Bros and Mo Sistas who stay at your hotel by offering a special deal. Perhaps you can put out a complimentary Harry’s razor and shave cream upon check-in! Or give guests a fun Movember experience by changing little things around the hotel like the WiFi name and password for the month to ‘Movember WiFi.’
