Movember 2011 has been an incredible journey; we can’t believe it’s already over! As you get ready to say good-bye to the moustache, take a trip down Memory Lane to revisit some of the awesome Mo Memories. Don’t forget to leave us a comment and share your favorite Mo-ment from this year.

STUDENTS SPORT A MO
This was a banner year for Movember among the College and University Mo’s. One notable school, MIT, led by Mo Sista Emily Calandrelli, engaged students and faculty to support the moustache - the Graduate Student Council, the Interfraternity Council, the MIT Sloan School of Management, Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology, the Technology Policy Program, the Department of Biological Engineering and several fraternities! The MIT network has 124 members and have raised a whooping $12,322 so far! According to Calandrelli, it was easy to convince people to participate, “Most guys don’t want to look creepy by themselves, but in a group they’re very willing to do it.” Even one of the school’s buildings sported a Mo!

GAMERS GROW MO’S FOR BIG $
The first ever Gaming Challenge was created this Moustache Season, spearheaded by top gaming Mo Bro, Karl Stewart of Crystal Dynamics.  What started as an idea to bring some Mo folks in the gaming community together, has grown into an international challenge with over 1,000 participants raising over $117,000!  Of the 39 teams in the Gaming Challenge network, major gaming names like Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Nintendo, and Crystal Dynamics all have been jockeying hard for the top three positions in the network.  A tip of the cap is in order for all participants for making the inaugural year of the Movember Gaming Challenge an incredible success!

MOVEMBER FLIES HIGH
It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…. a plane with a moustache? Qantas, the iconic Australia-based airline, flew the Movember flag for us by painting a big ol’ Mo on the nose of a Boeing 737-800. The Sydney domestic Terminal also sported a giant Mo for the month – 10 feet long, there can’t have been many passengers that missed that Movember message upon arrival!

SNOOP DOGG – DROP IT LIKE A MO
No introduction was needed when Mr. Snoop Dogg got lyrical for Movember. The Dogg Father himself collaborated on an exclusive Snoop/Lancaster tee for Movember – with 20% of funds coming straight back to Movember. In addition, because of Snoop’s support, for the month of Movember Lancaster Ltd also donated 20% of any and all items purchased from Lancaster’s online store to Movember. Thanks Snoop, thanks Lancaster. Way to drop it like it’s hot.

WELL KNOWN FACES FROM AROUND THE WORLD
From across the globe, celebs lent their support to Movember and the love of the moustache. Whether growing a Mo, acting as a Mo Ambassador, attending events, or giving us social media shout outs, the collective effort of these Mo’s have a huge impact on spreading the message about Movember and getting more people involved. This Moustache Season  Kevin Connolly, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Morgan Spurlock, Richie McCaw, Lance Armstrong, Adam Kleeberger, Malin Akerman, Brody Jenner, Foster the People, Kylie Minogue, Stephen Fry, George Michael, Barbie, Justin Beiber and Ricky Gervais are just a few of the Fa-MO’s who got behind the cause.

The above is just a taste of some of the amazing Mo love that was shown across the country, and the world. We’re hugely grateful for all the support that was shown. We can’t wait to do it all again in 2012! Thank you to everyone who has come on board this year and helped us, once again, to achieve our most successful year to date.
