No matter the sport, no matter the team, we have a Mo Bro you can root for. With so many participants from across various leagues, it’s like our very own Mo Sports Center.

Movember’s got a winning team with Mo Athletes
3 MIN READ
This Moustache Season has seen a record number of Mo athletes, office staff, coaches, supporters and fans from numerous teams in different sporting leagues and associations, including the National Football League, Major League Soccer, and National Hockey League to Major League Baseball and even the Ultimate Fighting Championship.  The hairy ribbon is truly bringing all men together for a good cause, to change the face of men’s health.

While there are too many to recognize and thank individually, here is a highlight of the best news we’ve heard around the water cooler.

NFL:
Mo Fantasy League play by play – The Houston Texans, led by Matt Leinart, have quite a collection of moustache aficionados including nose tackle Shaun Cody and tight end Owen Daniels. Other worthy players to add to the roster include some Philadelphia Eagles’ Todd Herremans, Jason Kelce and Evan Mathis.

MLS:
The Stats: MLS has over 200 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas kicking it up for Movember including club front office staffs, players, coaches and supporter groups and have already raised over $12,000.  As the season comes to a close this weekend at the MLS Cup 2011 (on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 9:00 p.m. ET at The Home Depot Center in Carson, CA - une in on ESPN, Galavision, TSN2), be sure to support your favorite MLS club or supporters group by finding them on the MLS network.

NHL:
The Stats: Over 250 registered Mo’s from 23 teams are growing (or supporting) Mo’s to change the face of men’s health.
The highlights: Wasn’t enough that George Parros is one of the faces of Moustache Season 2011, but his team is giving back to Movember in a big way with their Moustache Ticket Pack for Sunday November 20th game against the Red Wings. There will be a “Most Impressive Moustache” contest at The Hockey Spot in the Honda Center parking lot (North side of the building) from 3-5 p.m. Fans can stop by during the designated time period to have a photo taken of their moustache in hopes of becoming a top-three finalist (which will be announced during the game). Not to be outdone, the Minnesota Wild are hosting a best Mo contest for their fans too, with submissions open now.

Check out some other scoring hockey Mo’s.

MLB:
The Stats: Participants from 7 big league teams, and even in the Commissioner’s Office in New York, are sprouting and supporting homerun Mo’s for Movember.
The highlights: One of baseball’s top closers, John Axford of the Milwaukee Brewers, is sporting his wicked Mo along with his team the “Axfacekillas,” who have already raised more than a $1000 dollars! John shared some early footage of his new Mo:

Chicago White Sox catcher AJ Pierzynksi is calling his shot and pledging to dollar match the full amount raised for his efforts.

Check out the MLB Network to see if your hometown team is participating.

UFC:
The Stats: For the first time in UFC history, similar to their network premier on FOX, several fighters have stepped into the ring to battle it out for the Moustache title. Newly shaved, and practically unrecognizable without his signature beard, Roy “Big Country” Nelson represents the heavyweight Mo, while Frankie “The Answer” Edgar will sport a mighty lightweight.

More news will likely crop up about these all-star Mo’s so be sure to follow your favorites on Twitter, Facebook and of course their Mo Spaces!
