From the legendary enforcer of the moustache, Dave Shultz, to George Parros bringing his ever dangerous Mo to Movember’s campaign posters this Moustache Season, the Mo has evolved into a life of its own in the NHL. Here are just a few amazing Mo's you'll be seeing on the ice and off!
Although our Mo Bro Parros is on the shelf for the remainder of Movember due to an injury, he and his Mo are going strong to change the face of men’s health. Over 240 registered Mo’s from 23 teams in the NHL are raising awareness and funds for cancers affecting men. But it’s not just the players and staff participating in Movember, even Stanley C Panther of the Florida Panthers and Bailey of the LA Kings are taking part and growing Mo’s.
Amazingly the goalies, the most superstitious of all players, are even getting involved. Ducks goalie Jonas Hiller drew some well-deserved media attention with his customized Movember mask depicting various Ducks teammates with moustaches. Two of Hiller’s teammates, Saku Koivu and Jason Blake are cancer survivors, definite motivators to bringing awareness to men’s health issues.
The legendary Wendel Clark recently shaved off his famous goatee in preparation for Movember, adding to the list of players getting on board the Mo train.
