Proud 13 Year Mo Bro

This year marks my 13th year representing the Movember Foundation to raise awareness and funds for men's health. It's been a journey (to say the least) beginning in 2012 serving as Movember Founder & Campus Lead for Neutrogena and most recently raising awareness & fundraising efforts at Kenvue, our new consumer healthcare company. From being one of 50 men selected to represent Movember in the 50th Anniversary of the NYC Marathon to being selected as one of 10 men to summit Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa, my Movember exploits have resulted in several once-in-a-lifetime experiences. What I am most proud of though is that these efforts have driven more awareness and funds to the cause, attracted new advocates (both men and women) and most importantly saved men's lives.

As a global organization, Movember is funding over 1,250 men’s health projects. However, with a man dying every minute from suicide globally, 18 U.S. veteran suicides per day, testicular cancer being the most common form of cancer in young men and prostate cancer being the second most common form of cancer in older men, the fight for men’s health is far from over. For instance, did you know that Black men are more than twice as likely than white men to be diagnosed with prostate cancer? Movember is on a mission to change that by increasing diversity in research to better understand racial disparities and improve outcomes for Black men.

Lastly, this month is also special as it marks the launch of Men's Health & Wellbeing at Kenvue, a global Kenvuer Impact Network focused on allyship, inclusive leadership, and men's health issues & health inequities. The network is open to all Kenvuers and welcoming of female allies.

In closing, many family, friends and colleagues have supported my efforts over the years and for that I am truly grateful. It's amazing what just a moustache can do - TOGETHER we can help men everywhere live longer, happier, and healthier lives.
