My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health
Prostate cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

For the 13th consecutive year, I will be raising awareness for three causes that have had a direct impact on me and my family.

Prostate Cancer affected both of my grandfather’s, and men like my Dad (who has had Prostate issues for 10+ years) are twice as likely to get the disease. Not only does that put him at risk, but potentially me, my sons, and my nephews.

Skin Cancer doesn’t get talked about enough, and the long term effects it can have. Men are twice as likely to get, and die from it, compared to women.

Mental Health is a prominent issue in today’s world, and men usually don’t speak up about how they’re doing. I've dealt with mental health struggles in the past, and it was hard for me to speak up. I made a strong effort once again in 2024 to readdress my mental health, something that has paid off for me and my family.

I am doing Movember once again this year for the men in my family, both of whom are still with us or in spirit. I am also doing it for those men in the families that support me every year. Each dollar raised may affect one of them somewhere, somehow down the road in their life.

Once again this year, I am representing the Columbus, Ohio area as a Movember Ambassador. With this role, I will be providing guidance and resources for Men in the area, and hosting an event to raise awareness for those in the 614.

Last, year, I raised $2,960, and since 2012, I have raised $18,867.

My goal for 2024 is $2,000.
