My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health

The East Islip High School Key Club and Mr. Falkman want to raise money for Movember, the leading charity changing the face of men’s health.
Movember is addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men –prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention across the world to help stop men dying too young.

The annual East Islip High School Key Club Movember event was a great success.
We raised over $600 this year and over $1,700 over the last decade!
Movember is addressing some of the biggest health issues faced by men –prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention across the world to help stop men dying too young.
A special thank you to Mr.Hayes and Mr Festa for making donations this year and we would like especially thank our team MoBros Mr. Augello, Mr. Lackner and Mr O’Neill we could not do it without their help!

Thank you guys for your support over the last TEN YEARS!!!!
Daniel Falkman, a social studies teacher and Key Club advisor at East Islip High School, raised awareness and more than $365 (went up to $500 after this article appeared in Newsday;{) for men's health issues by growing a mustache for the national Movember Foundation. On Dec. 1, a group of students and faculty gathered in East Islip's auditorium after school to watch Falkman shave off his 'stache. (December 1, 2011) Credit: Handout

The Union Volunteer.
In the early years of the war, many Currier & Ives prints glorified the volunteer soldiers and embraced themes of Union, love of flag, and patriotic duty. This is one of several prints published in 1861 with the same title and similar image of a flag-waving soldier, his sword raised in victory as he steps on the first version of the Confederate flag. Below the image is the following verse: "O'er Sumters wall OUR FLAG again we'll wave; / And give to traitors all a bloody grave. / OUR UNION and OUR LAWS maintain we must; / And treason's banner trample in the dust."
