I teach HS health education and want to inspire students to be proactive about a cause near to their hearts. Movember is mine.

The Movember Foundation is the only global charity focused solely on men's health. I'm raising funds to tackle some of the biggest health issues faced by men: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and poor mental health.

Issues such as testicular and pancreatic cancer, kidney disease, depression and anxiety, as well as self-harm and depression have been present throughout my personal and professional life. This fundraising endeavor hits close to home in many instances.

I've set forth several physical challenges to meet during Movember to hold me accountable. I want to practice what I preach. I've found that exercise and movement have been extremely helpful in improving my mental and emotional health. I hope by setting these physical health goals others will also challenge themselves.
