At my annual physical, my doctor ran routine bloodwork — including a PSA test. When the results came back, my PSA levels had spiked, so I’m now seeing a urologist to better understand what’s going on.

This experience is a powerful reminder that awareness and early detection can make all the difference — not only for survival, but for long-term quality of life.

Too often, we put off our checkups, assuming we’ll get to it “tomorrow.” But when it comes to our health, tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. If we all take responsibility for staying proactive — getting regular screenings and paying attention to changes — we can dramatically improve outcomes for ourselves and those we love.

So, please: schedule that appointment, ask for the tests, and take your health seriously. It might just save your life.
