Each November, men across the world grow mustaches to spark conversations about men’s health — but for me, Movember isn’t just about growing a mustache. It’s about growing awareness, courage, and brotherhood.

I’m joining Movember this year because I’ve spent the past several years in the trenches of men’s work — guiding, listening, and walking shoulder-to-shoulder with men who are fighting silent battles. Through my time with the Arka Brotherhood and my own coaching journey, I’ve seen too many good men carry their pain alone. Men who look strong on the outside but are quietly falling apart inside. Men who were never taught how to ask for help, how to grieve, or how to love themselves without shame.

Movember’s mission — to change the face of men’s health — hits close to home. It’s not abstract to me. It’s the friend who took his life because he thought he had no one to talk to. It’s the father who ignored his health until it was too late. It’s the brother who numbed his pain in silence because he didn’t think anyone would understand.

In my men’s circles, we talk about the “Hero’s Journey.” Every man faces his own dark night — the moment when he must face the truth of who he is and what he’s been avoiding. But here’s what I’ve learned: no hero does it alone. We heal in the company of others. We rise through accountability, through vulnerability, through the courage to be seen.

That’s what Movember represents to me — a movement that gives men permission to be human again. To talk about their mental health. To get their bodies checked. To stop pretending they’re invincible.

By creating a team this year, I want to bring that same energy of brotherhood to life — to unite men and allies who care about something bigger than themselves. This isn’t just fundraising; it’s a declaration that our lives matter, our stories matter, and our health matters.

I believe real strength is found in connection, not isolation. It’s in the father who learns to open up to his kids. The son who finally makes that doctor’s appointment. The brother who picks up the phone and says, “I’m not okay.” Every small act of courage adds up.

So this Movember, I’m inviting others to join me — to move beyond the mustache and into meaningful action. Whether that’s growing, donating, or simply showing up for another man, every effort counts. Together, we can shift the narrative from silent suffering to shared healing.

For me, this is about honoring the men who didn’t make it, the ones still fighting, and the next generation who deserve to know that masculinity can be both strong and tender.

Help me stop men from dying too young. Help me remind the world that every man’s story is worth saving — and that no man has to walk alone.
