My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

I am a former College football player and a current Veterinary Student pursuing the small animal surgery path. As of recent, I have entered into the sport of Ultra Marathon running. Many individuals suffer from mental health or know people that do. Whether the battle is, addiction, depression, suicidal thoughts, trauma, etc. as men we tend to keep it to ourselves. The suicide rate of men is 4x that of women, 80% of suicides are committed by men, 20% of men have diagnosed mental health condition. I know what the battle can do to people and my motivation is to empower those to overcome these battles. I have seen close friends and family members struggle through mental health and I believe more can be done. I want to encourage men to speak openly about their struggles and I challenge men to face adversity and take accountability for their life. By voluntarily challenging yourself to overcome physical feats I believe you can work to overcome mental health. Putting yourself through difficult challenges and accomplishing long term and short term goals creates confidence and a mindset that allows you to face problems strong and courageously throughout your life. Life is not easy- it never has been and never will be. I challenge men to push themselves beyond what they think they are capable of. Whether it is to get off the couch and do a 1 mile run, run ultra marathons, lose 20lbs, learn a new instrument, become an expert in a new skill, or workout everyday for a month, etc.- smash your goals, harden your mind, and be a powerful individual that can walk through life with your head held high and bring others up with them. In doing so you can live a much more fulfilling life, help others, and be someone that others can count on.
