My motivation

I am so thrilled to be running the marathon with Movember! Running the New York City Marathon is deeply personal for me. I’ve called New York home for the past 13 years since graduating from USC in 2012. There’s no other city that embodies resilience, diversity, and community quite like it. New York has made me the person I am today.

I have been involved with Movember for many years, mainly because a dear USC friend, Katelynn Whitaker, has made it her mission to include her friends in Movember’s mission and events supporting men’s health both mentally and physically.

As a New Yorker, building awareness and community is at the heart of who I am. Being able to support Movember through the marathon– including raising funds, spreading the mission in fun and interesting ways, and just gathering people to support and learn from each other is what this is all about
