My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

I was fortunate enough to have my first PSA screen when I turned 50, and unfortunately it was high. After another check, then a biopsy (ouch..), it was confirmed that I had low grade, localized prostate cancer. We watched it closely for a couple years, the PSA score kept rising, a second biopsy (ouch..) showed it wasn't getting more aggressive, but it wasn't getting better either.

I started to look at treatment options and found that over the couple years of watching my prostate cancer, treatments had been evolving rapidly. We made the decision to just be done with it and had a prostatectomy. With some time passing, I now know that prostate cancer is not going to be my cause of death.

I have been touched by prostate cancer, also mens' suicide, these are things that we can engage in, try to make an improvement. Advances do happen, help us support this continued progress!
