My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Men's health problems aren't going to take a break! So I'm back for another year of raising awareness and funds to help stop men dying too young.

I'm mustache challenged, but I'll give it a grow! I'll also jog, walk and hike my way to 60 miles for the cause. Maybe I'll drop a few of the pounds I seem to have found over the past year!

It's the 8th of Movember - 27% of the way through the month. I have completed 36% of my miles goal and 32% of my fund raising goal. My mustache still needs some work, but I have come to accept that. :^{D

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in men in the United States. Globally, more than 1.4 million men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year. The Movember Foundation's aim is to halve the number of men dying from prostate cancer, and halve the number of men facing serious ongoing side effects from treatment. See their plan here: https://us.movember.com/about/prostate-cancer

Help us get there with a donation!

I found a decent ~4.5 mile loop near the office. It's still early, but so far I'm on track for 75+ miles!

Today is the 1st of Movember. To start the month, I fully shaved for the last time until December. Let's see what sort of mustache I manage to grow. I also got in my first run towards the 75 miles I am shooting for.

Well, that's a wrap for Movember 2020. I've done my best to channel my Keitel Mo. There just wasn't time for the hair. I completed by 60 mile challenge. I didn't reach my final donation goal (but I did bump it up over the corse of the month - twice).

Let's keep it going and together we can change the face of men's health!

Movember 25: I ran along Coyote Creek for my last couple runs. It's a nice change of pace compared with jogging around the apartment complex. I'm past the 50 mile mark so it's all downhill from here!

179 Week(s) Ago

Did a 9 mile hike at Santa Theresa County Park, but not counting it towards my miles. Back to running tomorrow.

Movember 16: We are in to the second half on Movember. I'm a little past the halfway point on my miles (34.46/60). If I stay healthy, I should be able to make 60 miles. The 'stache is coming along, but it's nothing to write home about. :D I still have a ways to go on my updated donation target. Can you give a Mo Brother a hand?

Day 10 of #Movember
My 'stache is (slowly) coming along. I've decided I am only counting my runs toward my 60 miles, so I am just barely ahead of my pace.

From my Day 5 photos, someone suggested I could be a mo'doppleganger for Harvey Keitel (see photo). Should that be my goal, or does anyone have a better idea?

181 Week(s) Ago

Day 5 of #Movember. My 'stache needs serious work, but at I'm on track for 60 miles. The a mile for each of the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour.

182 Week(s) Ago

It's day one of Movember. I shaved to start my mo and got in my first run toward my 60 miles. I even received my first donation! All in all, I'd say it's a good start.

This week, we're raising awareness of Prostate Cancer... internally, you'll find some great content on the Movember Foundation website - to share with colleagues! Let's not forget to share the important messages that will help men to live happier, healthier and longer lives!

338 Week(s) Ago

It's incredible that in 8 days we now have 12 teams, 72 members and over £1,300 raised... Team Arm will be matching all money raised as well as donating £1 for every Arm employee who signs-up! So continue to spread the word and together, lets help men around the world to live, longer, healthier and happier lives!! #Movember #TeamArm

Note: As donations can be made privately, not all donations are displayed to the public.
