My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

This Movember, I’m growing a mustache to raise awareness for men’s mental health and suicide prevention because that hit close to home in the first responder community. After more than 10 years as a firefighter and EMT, I’ve seen firsthand how the things we experience can take a toll. I’ve learned the importance of talking about it, reaching out, and taking care of your mind just as much as your body. Too often, men, especially those in public service, feel like they have to carry the weight alone. But strength isn’t about staying silent; it’s about having the courage to ask for help and to check in on each other. This month, I’m joining the Movember movement to help break that stigma and remind others that it’s okay to not be okay.

How I'm
getting involved

I'm moving 60km this Movember for the 60 men we lose each hour of every day.

The stache is ridiculous but you are amazing! Such an important cause.

Proud of you for speaking up about men’s mental health. Keep growing that ’stache and keep spreading the message! Every conversation matters.

Halfway through Movember, and my mustache has officially entered its “embarrassing dad” era. My kids are torn between thinking it’s awesome… and pretending they don’t know me in public.

But I’m growing this glorious facial fuzz for a real reason — to raise awareness for men’s mental health and suicide prevention. As a firefighter/EMT and a dad of three, I want to show my son and my daughters that taking care of your mental health is something to be proud of, not ashamed of.

If you want to support the ’stache (and maybe convince my kids it was worth it), you can donate, join the fundraiser, or share this post. Help me make this mustache matter!
