My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Prostate cancer

For the third Movember in a row, I am growing a mustache to raise money and awareness for prostate cancer research.

Other than skin cancer, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in American men. For 2020, the American Cancer Society’s US estimates for prostate cancer are:

- About 192,000 new cases of prostate cancer
- About 33,300 deaths from prostate cancer

That's more than a 17% mortality rate.

About 1 man in 9 will be diagnosed with prostate cancer during his lifetime. Prostate cancer is more likely to develop in African-American men as well as in older men. The average age at diagnosis is about 66 and about 1 man in 41 will die of prostate cancer.

The Movember Foundation (registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization) is working to raise awareness and to reduce the number of deaths from prostate cancer, and I want to help them get there.
