My Movember motivation is for Cahari Nathaniel Rhodes, my step-son, who we lost in 2019 due to a silent battle with depression. Cahari was bright, vibrant, and joyful; he showed no visible signs of depression. He was 19 years old when we lost him, with his whole life ahead of him. If I can do anything to stop another family from feeling this pain, it is one step closer to healing. Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men from dying too young.
