Radio 104.5 Rocks the Mo
1 MIN READ

What would you do to go to a private Fitz and the Tantrums show? During the 2014 Movember campaign, proud Mo growers, Radio 104.5 decided to reward Philadelphia Mo Bros, Mo Sistas and their donors with a unique Movember party. Three hundred select Movember supporters were rewarded with the opportunity to check out a free Fitz and the Tantrums concert.

It all started with Philly’s leading radio station setting up a Movember team and staff and DJ’s giving their upper lips to men’s health. Beginning in late October and going through the first week of Movember, Radio 104.5 DJ’s would talk up their Movember team and recruit listeners to join their team promising two free tickets to anyone who signed up on their team and raised at least $20. To help engage listeners, Radio 104.5 ran some strong social media campaigns and even had a Movember Bracket for listeners to vote on their favorite moustachioed rock star.

At the halfway point of Movember, the station then launched a Fitz and the Tantrums concert Mo Space where the first 150 listeners to donate $50 or more to Movember received two free tickets to the show, touting this page on what they began to call “Movember Mondays.”

All in all, Radio 104.5 was able to rock a comprehensive grassroots campaign resulting in 148 people signing up for the Radio 104.5 team and raising over $10,000 for Movember. Over 300 Philly Mo faithful were treated to an incredible show put on by Fitz and the Tantrums as a big thank you for sacrificing their upper lips, opening their wallets, and changing the face of men’s health.

A twist of the moustache to everyone at Radio 104.5 and all their listeners for making Movember 2014 one of the best Philadelphia has seen!
