My message for men everywhere is: Challenge yourself. You’d be surprised what you’re capable of.

Bubba Wallace: Activity is the Best Therapy
Real Stories

Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. is a professional stock car racing driver, and is the first African American since Hall of Famer Wendell Scott in 1963 to win in one of the top three touring divisions. He currently competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 6 Ford Mustang for Roush Fenway Racing. He is one of the top contenders in the NASCAR Xfinity Chase series, and is a staple figure in NASCAR’s youth and diversity initiative. This year, Bubba is supporting Movember through the Move challenge and growing his Mo for men's health.

At times, men have a tendency to put up certain barriers that may refrain them from asking for help. Hell, I’m one of them. Whether it be seeking a doctor’s opinion, or just conversing with a friend about something they’re going through - we need to make sure that our brothers know they are supported. It’s okay to ask for help, it’s okay to speak what’s on your mind - life is a journey that you can’t face alone! Let’s be there for one another!

Other than urging more men to be a key support figure, I want to contribute to Movember by pushing others to become more physically active - it’s the cheapest and most effective form of therapy.

During Movember I take action by Moving and becoming more active. I’m encouraging others to get outdoors, run, lift weights, golf, throw a football. It could change your life for the better.

My favorite thing about Movember is the ability generate awareness for a specific and positive cause through multiple means, one of which includes growing a kick-ass moustache.

I want to see a world where friendship, love and opportunity run rampant.

My message for men everywhere is, “Challenge yourself! You’d be surprised what you’re capable of."
