Hairy Tips to Master Your Mo

Kudos on braving the wild ride that is growing a Mo. Does your moustache feel itchy? Patchy? In need of some TLC (Tender Love and Combing)? We know the drill – it’s not our first rodeo. We’re in the business of wrangling (and celebrating) moustaches. Luckily, our friends and the grooming experts at Philips Norelco are serving up five hairy tips to master your Mo.

1. When caring for a Mo, remember that it’s always on the move

Your moustache is always growing, which means it’s just a few short days away from a return to the wild. As a general rule, the shorter the hair, the more often it needs to be trimmed. If you have a closely-trimmed style, make time every other day to keep it sharp. If you want to grow a full and bushy Mo, once or twice a week may be enough.

2. Cleanliness is key for proper moustache care

Neglect has consequences. If your morning routine is just a quick splash of water over your face, your Mo may complain that it isn’t getting enough attention. Keep facial hair looking and smelling so fresh and so clean by shampooing it when you take a shower, and adding a touch of conditioner if your hair is coarse or rough.

3. Tame unruly hairs

Facial hair is unique. For some men, it grows neatly downwards, while for others it rebelliously sticks straight out. If yours does the latter, dab on some beard oil and comb the hairs downwards to take the edge off as part of your daily moustache care. Beard oil softens the hair, while pomade can be used to shape your moustache into your chosen style.

4. Get the right tool for the job

You can trim, edge and shave any length of hair with one tool, Philips Norelco OneBlade, that makes getting your moustache style quick and simple.

  • Trim your Mo to a precise length with any of three stubble combs: 1mm for a tight trim, 3mm for stubble, and 5mm for long stubble.
  • Get a perfect edge on your Mo with the dual-sided blade. Use it in either direction with great visibility, so it's fast and easy to line up your style in seconds.
  • OneBlade doesn’t shave too close, so your skin stays comfortable.

5. Caring for your Mo means leaving it be

For cleanliness, avoid touching or stroking your Mo. Trim the hairs around your lips, and master eating and drinking without getting anything stuck in it.

Care for your health as you do for your Mo. We couldn’t be happier to have Philips Norelco on board as an Official Partner for a second year. Keep an eye out for prizing details and dedicated in-store Movember displays where Philips Norelco products are sold.
