Pass the razor: Gillette starting important conversations across America

Movember
3 minutes read time

This year, Movember and Gillette are turning everyday shaving moments into something bigger – a movement that puts conversations about men’s health front and center. We’ve teamed up with Gillette for another epic year alongside some legendary friends, so they can pick up their razor like a mic to share why or who they’re shaving for this Movember and pass the razor to encourage someone else to share their story.

Each time a story about men’s health, mental health, prostate cancer or testicular cancer is shared, permission is given for others to open up. And that ripple effect is what moves men’s health from a silent struggle to a public wake-up call.

Meet the men who are passing the razor and starting these important conversations about men’s health.

Eric Decker

“I’m shaving for every man who’s faced a health challenge in silence.” - @ericdecker

Stef Armstead

“This Movember, I’m shaving for men’s mental health awareness. I’ve known what it feels like to struggle with understanding and finding my purpose in the world. I’m here to support those men who are feeling the same way or experienced something similar. You matter.”- @stefarmstead

Jesse Katches

“I support Movember because I know firs thand how isolating mental health struggles can be - especially for men who find it hard to open up about what we’re feeling. But I’ve also seen how powerful it is to connect with others who can truly relate. Movember creates the space for those difficult conversations and to find the support and connection we all deserve.” - @jessekatches

Cormac Murphy

“I support Movember to honor my dad, who passed away from prostate cancer, and to raise awareness for men’s health and mental well-being — topics that mean everything to me.” - @iamcormacmurphy

Andrew Key

“This Movember I’m shaving down for all of men’s health. I’m speaking out to let other men know it’s okay to identify your struggles and not stop there living in despair. There is hope and there is a future where you can overcome and live in freedom. As an addict living in daily recovery, there is light at the end of the proverbial tunnel. Find other men you trust, share with them, laugh with them, grow with them.” - @andrewckey

Karson Gordon

“I Mo because I truly believe advocating for men’s mental health is something essential in today’s time. So many struggling men are overlooked and not prioritized, we must publicly and privately lift them up at all times to insure they know who and where to go to when the times get rough.” - @phenomk2

Riley Glassman

“This Movember, I’m shaving for the men in my life who may be struggling with mental health issues. It is okay to not be okay. You’re not alone and I encourage you to talk to a friend.” - @aregeethree

Matt Capeless

“I’m shaving for those lost too soon and those that are struggling in silence. Together, we can help to change the face of men’s health one moustache at a time.”
