Building on insights from Movember’s decade-long Making Connections investment—a community-led initiative focused on strengthening mental health and social ties—we have launched Game Changers. Game Changers harnesses the power of sport as a trusted setting to help young men build resilience; better manage emotions; strengthen social connections and improve overall mental wellbeing. Currently, two pilot programs are underway with community organizations in San Diego and Chicago, testing approaches that combine evidence-based mental fitness training with the benefits of teamwork, coaching, and peer connection. Health outcomes for Indigenous men are staggeringly out of step with national and international standards. We're proud to fund community-led solutions that centre Indigenous culture as a protective factor for health and wellbeing. Testicular cancer is the #1 cancer among young men. But most guys don’t know it. Our annual Know Thy Nuts campaign, held during Testicular Cancer Awareness Month in April, encourages young men to know their risk, know their nuts and know what to do if something doesn’t feel quite right down there. In partnership with Laureus Sport for Good, Movember has made a 3-year commitment to youth sports programs in underserved communities in Chicago and New York City, aiming to improve mental health and life skills for youth aged 12–18. The funding will support grants for community-based organizations and strengthen Sport for Good City Coalitions, which unite local stakeholders to address community challenges through sport. In late 2024, we announced a partnership with esports juggernaut BLAST. Over the last 12 months, we've worked together to reach tens of thousands of players and fans promoting the importance of mental health and healthy communities.
