14 December - Two weeks after Movember
Fourteen dawns after the month of whisker and will,
The razor waits, but the heart stays still.
My Mo never fades when the month is through,
As mates still need a stronger you.
Check the quiet friend who has gone off-line,
Ask twice, stay close, read between each sign.
A coffee, a walk, a late-night call,
Can pull a brother back from the fall.
Scars of biopsy, chemo, scan,
Sit just beneath the skin of every man.
On days like this, past Movember’s end,
Grow courage in place of hair for a friend.
So let today be a gentle nudge,
To talk, to listen, refuse to judge.
For every Mo that once was grown,
The bravest act is: “You are not alone.”
