For Gillette it’s not only about the best shave a man can get – this Movember, we’re encouraging men to aim higher and go deeper. We teamed up with professional and collegiate athletes around the country to initiate important conversations with their friends, family, and loved ones with the goal of modeling healthy communication styles for young men.
At the beginning of the month, our talent partners got together to shave down and catch up- now they’re checking back in by touching up with Gillette and touching base with each other.
Kam and Khalen Saunders couldn’t be more different – Kam is a world-class performer and Khalen is a Defensive Tackle for the New Orleans Saints. Despite their different lifestyles the brothers prioritize their relationship and always make time to connect. Earlier in the month, the brothers got together for a touch up. Kam encouraged Khalen to clean up his patchy beard and grow a mustache for Movember. You can watch their touch base here.
AJ Cole + Daniel Carlson dubbed two of the most important players on the Las Vegas Raiders by Sports Illustrated, are there for each other on and off the field. There’s often a lot of pressure associated with their roles on the field, but these friends don’t let the stress get to them. Watch the Raiders Punter and Kicker touch up and touch base here. Donate to AJ and Daniel.
Meet Tyus + Tre Jones, brothers and professional basketball players for the San Antonio Spurs and Washington Wizards respectively. While they may play for different teams, they don’t let their affiliations get in the way of their relationship. The Jones brothers are growing their Mo’s for Movember and keeping tabs on each other’s mental well-being. You can watch their touch base touch up here, and donate to Tyus andTre.
Gillette is committed to helping men look, feel, and be their best – which goes beyond the products. Through our partnership we hope to reflect a positive and inspiring portrait of healthy communication styles and friendship among men. On average, 60 men die by suicide every hour across the globe. Stronger social connections can reduce the risk of suicide. That means more men talking about stuff that really matters. Those conversations don’t always come easy, but with practice it can become second nature.
If you’re at a loss for how to start an important conversation, we’re here to help. Practice starting important conversations with Movember Conversations and shop the best products a man can get at Gillette.com
