Hello! My name is Ian Saltmarsh, and I run a non-profit organization called Travel for a Cure. Travel for a Cure is a third-party supporter of the Movember Foundation. I’ve raised awareness for the men’s health community for over ten years! Although I’ve had great support over the years, I want to do something BIG to celebrate a decade of giving back. My goal is to raise $100,000 by canoeing the Mississippi River! All 2552 miles from the headwaters at Lake Itasca all the way to the Gulf of Mexico! On Monday, May 29th, 2023, I started the big canoe trip. Although I anticipated completing the journey in one shot, it's taking me 3 summers and many different paddle partners to complete! After much planning, I'm hoping to complete the journey this August 2025! This adventure has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so excited to share it with everyone!
