My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

There are a lot of reasons men die on average six years younger than women, but the main cause is that men tend to be more closed in social relationships. Men tend to ignore things more than women or at least refuse to talk about them with others. That's the part that has to change. We need to be comfortable talking about what ails us and get help. Sometimes it's a conversation with family or friends about what's going on in your life. Other times it means speaking with our doctors about health issues. It could even be as simple as finding an accountability partner to get you going to the gym. For me, it's helping others realize that they're not alone in the world and that's where WE can all make a difference.

The Movember organization helps facilitate those conversations - and that's why I like and support them.

Well, today starts my 2023 fundraising effort for Movember. I can't believe this will be my 11th year!

The chickens can't believe it either...

Well, I got rid of the beard today - it feels a bit odd and looks a little strange to me, but I'm on the way to a solid moustache. I left my moustache behind this time, because I'm hoping for something I can turn the ends up on this year.
