Day 12 and weirdly my mustache is still pretty white. Was hoping that would all grow out. Next week is match week but will be sending an update out today just to let folks know progress. Feels like I am 50/50 on people guessing this is just a look for me vs Movember… not sure how to feel about that…

Well we got a winner over the weekend. Riding (not driving!) in the car is but forgot I needed to post the ‘winning’ look for at least this week. Thank you to everyone who donated so far, even if you didn’t win. I will keep posting here and don’t forget match week is still coming up!

Another Movember in the books! Thank you again to everyone who donated and for those of you that have continued to support me over the years a special thank you to you. I shaved off the mustache this morning but will be excited to get back on this train again next November!

Good morning - We are closing in on a little over 1 week left, which means I am into 'matching week' time. I will update in an email as well: but every donation made between now and November 29 will actually get matched 2x! Once directly by me, and once more by my employer! So donate today, or feel free to donate on Thanksgiving in the spirit of the holidays if you participate in them! Ok, hat notwithstanding, the rest of this month is going well from an awareness and fundraising front, but there is plenty of work still to do. Huge thank you to all of you that have already contributed. If you or a family member is joining me on this journey, feel free to send me a picture to include here.
Becky wants me to remind everyone: if I can double my previous record of fundraising, I will shave down early this month. Easy math, I need $9K of donations. Now I am happy to keep the mustache but if you care more about Becky and her piece of mind, you might want to donate, or donate again to help her out...

8 days in. I just 'trimmed' the edges of the 'stache to try to take out the white. Not much success obviously! Thanks to all of you that have already donated: it is great to get this started and I appreciate everyone's thoughts (or jibes!).

Ok, at Day 5, I am finally getting things started on my fundraising. I will post a new picture tomorrow. As I am getting older I am unfortunately finding more and more of my friends and family being impacted by cancer, and so this year, the event is even more poignant. My father passed away this spring at the age of 96, and was my original mustache inspiration. I look forward to celebrating him through my mustache shaping this month!

Ok - technically day 3 but I promise I had the mustache on Day 1. My nephew is joining me this year so will be tagging his progress as well! Happy Movember!

Best way to get rid of the white hair in the ‘stache? Trim it down. Not sure it actually improves the look but…. At least I can celebrate reaching my goal already (people already exceeded my match commitment!) and still have 11 days left to make this my best year ever! Thanks for the support, keep it up!

1/2 way home but my first day sporting the 'stache in the office! Not sure if I should be happy or not that no one commented on it... Day 7 here. Weird profile just to make sure the sideburns don’t get missed (who wouldn’t want to see those!). Thanks to everyone who has already donated - it has been a great start. Last week I was told that not one but 2 people I know well were diagnosed with cancer (breast, liver) so a reminder that ALL of us need care and attention and that cancer strikes close to home way too often..:

Did I cheat this year? Absolutely. Does it make this Mo much better? Probably not. Last year was an all time high in fundraising for me so beating it will be a challenge so hopefully I, and all of you, are up for it. Happy Movember!

Well it is one more week of this face such as it is. New Movember new company but still planning to recruit members and donations from everywhere I have been since starting this journey (so be prepared wherever you are!). I now have 2 sons who at least have a shot of growing a visible mustache, we’ll see how that goes! (Sorry Becky…)

So yesterday I sent an email saying I would match funds for any donations between now and the end of November- 24 hrs in and I am in for over. $500!
