My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Last summer, I had a growth... and thankfully it was not cancer... but it could have been. It could have been something.

I found it on a Friday night. I thought it was an ingrown hair. I tried to pop it. It progressively got worse. By the time I went to the ER 4 days later, it went from the size of pimple to the size of a golf ball. And it was HARD. I couldn't feel it! It was in my body, but it wasn't my body.... I had surgery to remove it, and thankfully it didn't grow or spread further. I am no longer able to have more kids, (which is okay, I have enough), but it scarred me for life.

This affected more than just my physical health but also my mental health. I am taking this VERY seriously... Especially with 4 kids! I want to be around to see them have kids one day...

My story got my father, who's in his 70s, to get checked out. Last year, he had surgery on his testicles which had a similar lump. He did not have the bounce back ability I had. His recovery has been a long and hard road. However, because of our comradery, we are helping each other through this.

Movember is the leading charity changing the face of men's health, and this Movember I'm joining them. Together we can make a difference for men's health – in prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. Help me stop men dying too young.

This year, not only are we going to be growing a mustache to help raise awareness, but I pledge to walk at least 2 mi each day. We hope to get $100 in donations to help support our cause. Will you help?
