"My motivation is to do something in memory of people like my Dad, who died from cancer more than 20 years ago after a terrible struggle. I also want to dedicate this effort to Jon and Emily, two other people I have watched fight and scrap and ultimately lose to the big C. Please help me help others."

My wife has officially declared that the mo is back. She gave me a kiss last night and told me that was the feeling she remembered. Donations are up to $560 - I decided it was time for a blatant plea on the Atomic Insights blog.

Donations still trickling in. I have a few to load up after cashing checks from folks who still do not trust the 'online" world. The better news is that the Mo is coming along pretty well considering it is just day 13.

Now on day 10. The new Mo is coming in pretty well, but I need to work a bit harder on the message. The donations have slowed down; time to communicate with more people about the cause and the benefits of supporting it.

I talked up the Movember cause at a Chesapeake Bay Foundation Halloween Party and at a tailgater for the Navy-Temple game. Here is a photo of day one of the new mustache.

I shaved a day early so that I could attend a Halloween Party with old friends who have never seen my upper lip without my old "mo". It gave me a chance to talk to a few more people about the cause.
